Some will say that T.J. Miller's bartender/Wade’s bestie Weasel, is the best supporting character of Deadpool.

However, we maintain the one who really stole the show was Blind Al.

Played by Leslie Uggams – who by the way is quite the star, being a Tony award winner and a Golden Globe nominee with a singing and acting career that spans over 60 years – Blind Al is an elderly blind woman and Deadpool's roommate.

Uggams is best-known for her roles in 1977 miniseries Roots and currently stars in Empire opposite Terrence Howards and Taraji P. Henson. Blackfilm.com broke the news of her return to the sequel.

The Deadpool sequel, which is directed by David Leitch (John Wick, Atomic Blonde) and written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, is currently in pre-production. It is expected to begin filming at the end of this spring.

We’re looking forward to seeing more banter between Deadpool and Blind Al. Just look at that comedy gold from the first film:
