The new film from Seabiscuit director Gary Ross already has an incredible cast; Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina headline the summer tentpole flick that is seen, at least in some way, to be a sequel to the male-led Oceans' series that featured Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Matt Damon - amongst others.

Now Matt Damon has confirmed that he'll have a role in the film, although it doesn't sound like a particularly big one. He told Entertainment Tonight “I’m doing a little bit in the movie. I haven’t read it yet, but the cast is phenomenal and I’m excited to see what those women do with it. It’s going to be fun.”

Ross also directed the first in The Hunger Games series and, most recently, the Matthew McConaughey bomb 'Free State of Jones.'

We'll have to wait about a year and a half to see Ocean's 8, in June of 2018.
