The Movie Show: Rise Of The Guardians Special

Time is nigh for the much anticipated release of Rise Of The Guardians. It makes its debut in Irish cinemas this Friday - tomorrow - to be exact. So, naturally, as one of our favourite kids' movies of the entire year, we've decided to dedicate one whole movie show to it. This week Brian Lloyd returns to review the movie while I catch up with Jack Frost himself - played by the amazing Chris Pine - and Isla Fisher, who plays Tooth. For those of you not yet familiar with the movie, the official blurb reads a little like this: When evil spirit Pitch (also known as the boogey man, played to perfection by the inimitable Jude Law) launches an assault on Earth, the Immortal Guardians (among which Santa - Alec Baldwin, The Easter Bunny - Hugh Jackman, The Tooth Fairy and The Sandman are included) must team up to protect the innocence of children all around the world. However, as they're facing such a threat, they enlist the help of one extra figure to take on The Boogey Man, Jack Frost.

Also on the movie show this week we take a look at the hilarious new trailer for I Give It A Year starring the brilliant Stephen Merchant. From the writers of Bridget Jones Diary and Love Actually, this one's set to be one of the best British romcoms we've had in a while. What's more, if you stay watching 'til the end of the show, you just might bag yourself some Rise Of The Guardian themed goodies.
