The Jury has been decided for the Cannes Film Festival 2012
Having announced the lineup for its official selection, the Cannes Film Festival, one of the most stylish summer award ceremonies on the go, has just announced the jury for 2012.
Faced wtih the task of awarding the Palme d'Or will be four men and four women who will join Nanni Moretti, president of the jury.
The are as follows:
Salmon Fishing in the Yemen actor Ewan McGregor, writer-director Andrea Arnold, French veteran actor Emmanuelle Devos, known most for the 2001 thriller Read My Lips, and, adding a bit of necessary glamour to the mix, designer Jean-Paul Gaultier. Representing the US on this colourful jury is Oscar-winning writer-director Alexander Payne while Germany gets her say through the beautiful Diane Kruger, most known for her unforgettable turn in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds. These folk will be joined also Palestinian actor Hiam Abbass, whose movie Lemon Tree went down a treat in 2008; and Haitian director Raoul Peck, famed for his documentary Lumumba, chronicling the story of the Congolese president.
