Grant Gustin, Tom Cavanagh and Carlos Valdes - all stars of CW's 'The Flash' - have been announced for Kevin Smith's upcoming sequel-reboot-who-knows 'Jay & Silent Bob Reboot'.

Smith announced the news at this weekend's San Diego Comic Con, but stopped short of divulging what role the three actors would play in the upcoming action comedy. Smith has been involved with the series, having directed a number of episodes as well as cameoing in an episode alongside Jason Mewes in their respective characters.

Smith explained his logic behind the sequel-reboot last month, saying that it follows up directly after 'Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back'. "Jay and Silent Bob find out that Hollywood is making a reboot of that old movie that they had made about them, and they have to go cross the country to Hollywood to stop it all over again. It’s literally the same f*cking movie all over again! It’s a movie that makes fun of sequels and remakes and reboots while being all three at the same time."

Smith previously announced Autumn 2017 as the start-date for the film, but given his medical issues since then, the shooting date was pushed to November 2018.

No release date has been set for 'Jay & Silent Bob Reboot' as of yet.
