The Boss Baby, starring Alec Baldwin as a talking, shirt-and-tie-wearing, briefcase-carrying infant, is officially getting a sequel.

Released earlier this year, the animated movie ended up being an unexpected hit for Dreamworks Animation after it made $468.4 million in the box office.

The studio announced The Boss Baby 2 will be released in theatres on March 26th 2021 and that Baldwin will return. No word on whether any of the other cast will join him.

Steve Buscemi, Jimmy Kimmel, Lisa Kudrow, and Tobey Maguire starred in the first Boss Baby movie. Directed by Tom McGrath (Megamind, Madagascar), it sees seven-year-old Tim Templeton’s family life turned upside down when a new baby brother arrives. The pair are forced to work together to foil a ploy going down at Puppy Co.

In our review, we said the movie had “gags enough for kids and adults to keep everyone amused and the animation is a fresh change-up from Disney.” Read the review in full here.
