Tatum Reveals Drive Director Also Took Magic Mike
Channing Tatum has revealed in an interview with Hitfix.com, that Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn almost took charge of his stripper movie, Magic Mike.
Tatum said of the the almost-movie, which opens in America tomorrow, "I have to be honest, I told this [movie idea] to Nicolas Winding Refn. There was a quick second when he was like, 'I want to do this', because we were going to do another movie together, but that movie kind of fell apart." He added, "So, we were constantly always trying to figure out if he was going to be available for it, and then I did Haywire and Soderbergh was like, 'I am down for this'."
The film is getting great reviews and is expected to do well at the box-office this coming weekend.
