As with anything remotely related to The Last Jedi, there's endless amounts of security and rumour surrounding it - so it's always advisable to take it with a pinch of salt.
Today's Force Friday II event sees a rake of merchandise for The Last Jedi made available at Disney stores worldwide and online, and with it comes endless analyses and deep-dives on what they could potentially mean for the next film and the franchise at large.
One particular item that's caught people's attention is a series of playing cards that, on the surface at least, appears to give an indication of what precisely happens in The Last Jedi. For his part, director Rian Johnson has poo-poo'd the idea of his film being spoiled via merchandise, but it's happened before.

Fans will remember how the soundtrack album of The Phantom Menace literally gave away the ending which saw Liam Neeson's character, Qui-Gon Jinn, meet his end at the hands of Darth Maul. Two songs - TWO - had it in the title that Qui-Gon Jinn died, so it's not unheard of for something like this to happen.

Still here? OK, so here's what we've got. A list of Topps' playing cards have made their way online and it's understood that they give an outline of what happens in the film. Since the news made its way online, Topps have issued a statement saying that the list of cards that are being passed around online are NOT in chronological order, i.e. they don't follow the plot of the film, and they only use images taken from the trailer.
That said, it does give us an indication of what's in store and what we can expect from the film. For example, one card talks about Crait, a planet that's seen in the trailer and will play a big part in the story. Likewise, another card titled Shards Of The Past is rumoured to have something to do with Darth Vader's lightsaber crystal.
Who knows. Here's the list. We'll know more when the next trailer is released, and on December 15th when the film is released.
