We always knew it, but now we know for a fact that Alien Vs. Predator was actually the worst ever.

In a recent interview, Weaver laid it all out bare.

"I’ve nothing against building a movie on a video game but at the time, it was, as Jim Cameron said, I think publicly, ‘why would you want to do that'? It’s like making Alien meets the Wolfman."

What's more, she also confirmed that Scott basically dropped out of making an Alien sequel because of AvP.

"I heard that Fox was gonna do Alien vs Predator. Which really depressed me because I was very proud of the movies."

"I think it caused more problems than it was worth," said Weaver, who's now the proud recipient of our Understatement of The Century Award with that one.

Directed by hack Paul WS Anderson, Alien Vs Predator currently sits on Rotten Tomatoes with a 21% rating and is generally considered to be the second-worst of the Alien franchise.

The first? The sequel, Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem. How it got a sequel, we'll never know.

Indeed, many fans considered the two AvP films to be separate from the canon - despite the fact that Lance Henriksen reprised his role as Bishop in the first one.
