Shia And Stone For Wall Street 2
30 April 2009
Transformers star Shia LaBeouf is in advanced negotiations to join the cast of Wall Street 2, which will again be directed by Oliver Stone. Michael Douglas is thought to be the one who was pushing for the project to be made, after he won an Oscar in 1987 for his role as Gordon Gekko - the unscrupulous greedy bastard, who ends up in the joint after Charlie Sheen screws him over. While the first film was very much about greed (which is good, apparently), this one will take into account the current economic climate *pulls out hair and screams inaudibly. Very interesting casting, and fantastic news that Stone has come back to direct. Many had commented that the director had lost his mojo, after W. and World Trade Centre, let's hope this is a welcome return to form for the multiple award winning helmer.
