Sharon Horgan's recent run of success is showing no signs of slowing down as she's revealed that she is set to writer a new movie for Reese Witherspoon,

Horgan, who won acclaim as the creator and star of hit British sitcoms, Pulling and Catastrophe, revealed to Red Magazine that she is working with Witherspoon on a new project.

“Reese set up her own production company specifically to create better roles for women because she was fed up with getting sent scripts where she was some funny guy’s girlfriend. She saw Pulling and that’s why we hooked up,”

Witherspoon took to Twitter earlier this year to heap praise on both Horgan and her Catastrophe collaborator, Rob Delaney.

“She was so great about Catastrophe. She definitely piled a few extra thousand viewers by Instagramming about it.”

The Witherspoon news comes on the back of a very successful month for Horgan which saw her new Sarah Jessica Parker starring HBO sitcom, Divorce, debut to strong reviews. That followed the news that the pilot she wrote with Graham Linehan, Motherland, has been given a full series order by the BBC.

With a third series of Catastrophe on the way as well, it's set to be a bust couple of years ahead for Horgan. We doubt she'll mind too much though.

Speaking of Witherspoon, he latest HBO mini series, Big Little Lies just released a teaser. The series, which is directed by WIld and Dallas Buyers Club director, Jean-Marc Vallée, also stars Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, Laura Dern, Adam Scott and Alexander Skarsgård.
