Seabiscuit Director To Tackle Spidey Spinoff

Seabiscuit Director To Tackle Spidey Spinoff

08 October 2009

Seabiscuit writer/director Gary Ross was recently hired to do a once over on the script to Spiderman 4, and has impressed the upper brass at Sony so much, they've re-hired him to write and direct its spinoff, Venom. No word yet on if Topher Grace will return after a so-so outing in Spiderman 3, as it'll be a whole different franchise in waiting, which will reportedly ignore Venom's includement in Spidey. Grace is a very fine actor though, and someone who can slip from comedy to serious with little fanfare; he's just signed up for a supporting role in Predators, so we'll see him back on our screens soon.
