Scarlett Johansson to launch Black Widow franchise?

Having gotten a taster for that outfit she dons in Avengers Assemble - giving Anne Hathaway's Catwoman a run for her money, actress Scarlett Johansson has said that while she's got no plans to involved with Iron Man 3, she'd jump at the chance of launching a Black Widow franchise. Especially one with an air of Bourne about it. And as she's already beem in talks with producer Kevin Feige about said spin-off, it seems she just might get her wish.

Speaking with ScreenRant, she said "I personally think there's an awesome Black Widow movie [to be made]. A Bourne type of film that would take the comic book genre in a completely different direction... It would be awesome. I've spoken to Marvel about it, there's so much story there to draw from."

Sure, keeping up with the physical demands of character Natasha Romanoff is no mean feat, but it's a challenge that Johansson is eager to take on. "Do I want to spend another three months shedding the manatee skin and getting back into that suit? Not necessarily, but it's all worth it in the end."
