Saoirse Ronan joins Ryan Gosling directorial debut 'How to Catch a Monster.'

Saoirse

Well we're only raging we didn't know about this before we spoke to Saoirse Ronan on the red carpet at this weekend's IFTAs. The once recipient of the IFTA Rising Star award has certainly lived up to the title, having just signed on to star in Ryan Gosling's directorial debut. To say we are both impressed and incredibly jealous is an understatement. However one scan of news reports across the globe on this announcement and you'll soon realise that it's Gosling who's done well to nab her; don't forget, our Saoirse Ronan is not only hot property on these Emerald Isles, she's an Oscar nominee too. Remember her turn in Atonement opposite James McAvoy and Keira Knightley? Well, who could forget.

Already attached to 'How to Catch a Monster' are Dr. No star Matt Smith, Christina Hendricks, Eva Mendes and Ben Mendelsohn. Oscar nominee Ronan, currently filming The Grand Budapest Hotel in Germany, with The Host (Stephenie Meyer book-film adaptation) due to come out later this year, has now officially joined the ranks on this fantasy drama.

Between The Host, the still-in-production Grand Hotel Budapest, Neil Jordan's vampire flick Byzantium, the rumoured Cinderella role and now this, 2013 is shaping up to be one hell of a year for the year old actress. We wish her every bit of success.
