Safe House Sequel In Development
Safe House 2 is currently in development it has been revealed.
Safe House made $200 million worldwide in it's release earlier this year so it is no wonder that a sequel is in the makings. According to The Hollywood Reporter Universal Pictures have hired original writer David Guggenheim to work on a script to follow up to the thriller which starred Ryan Reynolds and Densel Washington.
Safe House followed a CIA agent (Reynolds) who's job overseeing a South African safe house is thrown into a life or death situation when he has to keep former agent Tobin Frost(Washington) in the safe house. It is unknown whether the follow up will be a sequel or prequel but Reynolds is confirmed to be starring either way where as Washington's involvement in the film is still unclear but studio bosses are keen to have him back.
