Ryan Reynolds In Talks To Star In The Highlander

Ryan Reynolds is still extremely popular. Despite the much publicised failure of The Green Lantern (which still opened big, a sign of a true star), he has just had the biggest hit of his career so far in an action role with Safe House.

Now, he's being linked with the lead role in the big screen reboot of Highlander being directed by Spaniard, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later). Reynolds' people are apparently in negotiations with the producers and studio Lionsgate, and he is apparently keen on taking the role of the immortal headchopper. The talented actor has a bunch of roles in development and recently wrapped principal photography on the Jeff Bridges co-starrer, RIPD - where he plays a dead cop, busting criminals from the afterlife.

When are we gonna see that Deadpool movie, Ryan, WHEN... cried the internet.
