The rumour mill continues to roll on Quentin Tarantino’s ninth film.

The director's latest uses the Charles Manson murders in 1969 as a backdrop to a “Pulp Fiction-esque tapestry of Los Angeles”. Margot Robbie, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise have all been touted as possible stars, with DiCaprio’s character having recently revealed to be an “aging actor” (more deets here).

Robbie, meanwhile, is believed to be playing Roman Polanski's wife and Fearless Vampire Killers co-star Sharon Tate, who was heavily pregnant with their child when she was killed by Manson’s death cult. Now it looks like disgraced director Polanski will be featuring as a main character also.

The update comes from Variety journalist Justin Kroll, who tweeted that Polanski will play a key role in the film and that Tarantino is looking for a Polish actor to play him.

Kroll also tweeted that DiCaprio’s character is Tate’s neighbour in the feature and that Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise are cicling the film's stunt man character.
