Robert Duvall Will Be Gilliam's Quixote
03 December 2009
The legendary Robert Duvall has revealed that director Terry Gilliam has asked him to play Don Quixote in his much mooted movie of the famous yarn.
Duvall was speaking to the ever-excellent Drew McWeeny at Hitfix.com, while promoting his new film Crazy Heart with Jeff Bridges, and told him that he had been asked and would love to, but that they still need to find the money to make it.
Gilliam has been trying to get it off the ground again for years, after he was shut down in the middle of production on his first attempt because of financial issues. It's obviously a huge passion project for the director, so fingers crossed he finally gets it made.
