Rinsch Falls Into The Black Lagoon

Rinsch Falls Into The Black Lagoon

16 December 2009

Hugely successful commercials director Carl Erik Rinsch is reportedly in talks to helm the remake of 1954 monster movie, Creature From The Black Lagoon.

The original followed an undersea creature that hunts down scientists who are as they are on expedition. According to The LA Times, Gary Ross (Seabiscuit) was at one point attached to direct, but will now just produce.

Rinsch was being pushed to helm a new Alien film by Ridley Scott, but Fox wouldn't go for it, and he instead became attached to the Keanu Reeves action film 47 Ronin. It's not clear which one will shoot first.
