Ricky Gervais Now In 3D

30 April 2009

Ricky Gervais just can't be stopped. The man, who is very much a polarising figure for some, just had the rights for his series of children's books, Flanimals, purchased by the folk at Universal, who plan on turning it into a 3D feature. The books are about fifty creatures, who are so damn ugly, they're actually considered cute. Gervais will voice a creature, while The Simpsons writer Matt Selman will adapt the books into full length film form. I like Gervais; as in, I think he's very funny and talented - but when he pops up in those smug cameos in his "A-list" pals movies, it really gets on my nerves. No word on a director for the project yet.
