Legendary film and television actor Ernest Borgnine has died from kidney failure at the age of 95. His wife, Tova, and children were at his side at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles reports CNN.

Borgnine was one of the most recognisable faces in film and TV for many years. He appeared in The Wild Bunch, Convoy, The Poseidon Adventure, The Dirty Dozen and BASEketball (underrated comedy flick with South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone). He also popped up in some of the most popular television shows of all time; Murder She Wrote, Magnum PI and, of course, Airwolfe.

Rest in Peace, sir.
