If you happen to find yourself in the Los Angeles area and you see someone trying to sell you the original Iron Man suit out of the back of a van, don't buy it because it's probably stolen.

The original suit used in 2008's Iron Man - the red-and-gold one, not the one he built IN A CAVE! WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS! - has gone missing from a prop warehouse, with employees only noticing its absence after a routine check through the inventory. According to an LAPD spokeswoman, no other items were reported missing from the warehouse and the owner of said warehouse hasn't been identified - but it could likely be Disney or Robert Downey Jr. himself.

The estimated value of the suit has been put at $325,000, but sadly doesn't coming with working repulsors J.A.R.V.I.S. built in to its systems. In fact, the suit itself is probably made out of fibreglass and plastic and doesn't even seem all that comfortable when you get right down to it. Plus, when you look at the behind-the-scenes footage, the suits are usually either added in later in post-production or they're only wearing the visible portion.

Marvel and Disney have made no statements as of yet, however the investigation is ongoing.
