Pierce Brosnon Joins Owen Wilson In The Coup

Pierce Brosnan has been confirmed to star opposite the already cast Owen Wilson in action thriller, The Coup.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the follows "an American family that relocates to the region only to become embroiled in a violent coup as rebels mercilessly attack the city." Brosnan is set to plays a "mysterious and ultimately heroic government operative." Writer/director of the high concept/low impact thriller Devil, John Erick Dowdle, will direct the flick from a script he co-wrote with his brother, Drew.

Brosnan has the Susanne Bier drama All You Need is Love due out next.
