We're now less than 84 days to the release of The Last Jedi and, so far, Lucasfilm have been pretty stringent on promotional material for the film.

In fact, a lot of this is pretty much what director Rian Johnson wanted as he was pretty adamant that too many trailers and the like can ruin it people's experiences. Still, you can't really release a film nowadays without having something to help promote it - but does Star Wars really need promotion?

Who knows. Anyway, Lucasfilm released new production stills from The Last Jedi that we're now endlessly pouring over for information.

Take a look.

Rose (Kelly Marie Tran) squares up to Finn (John Boyega) in the casino world Canto Bight.

Rian Johnson and Joonas Suotamo, who took over from Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca, in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. Also note how dingy the seats are. You think they'd reupholster them after all the money they made on The Force Awakens.

The Caretakers, who live on Ahch-To and "tolerate" Luke Skywalker's presence. Why do they tolerate him? Isn't it kind of passive-aggressive to "tolerate" someone? What's up with their headdresses?

Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux, or a UCD political science student who's "just asking the question". You decide.

Supreme Leader Snoke's Praetorian Guard, who replaced The Emperor's Royal Guards, who replaced The Not-Ready-For-Primetime-Guards.

*Staind plays loudly in background*

Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker. Check out that beard on Skywalker. That's a solid beard, that is.

"Excuse me, I ordered dip and a pizza - not a lightsaber I threw away years ago. Can I dip this lightsaber into a pizza?"

With soft candles, a glass of good wine and the right music, this picture of Oscar Isaac can impregnate you from a distance of 300 yards.

Rey reconsiders her career choice of being an intergalactic pizza / lightsaber delivery person after her encounter with Luke Skywalker.

Finn flies some new type of landspeeder thing with a planet that has red dust. Red dust? How does that work? Red Dust sounds like a cool name for a desert rock band, though.

"Wait a second, I never had pizza. This wasn't about pizza at all. HE WAS SUPPOSED TO TRAIN ME."

Chewbacca hangs out with tiny floof thingy that are known as porgs and are so cute, they make you want to vomit.
