Everybody's got a favourite Coen Brothers film, and most people would probably say it's The Big Lebowski.

The stoner comedy that starred Jeff Bridges, John Goodman and Steve Buscemi didn't exactly set the world on fire when it was first released, but it's become something of a cult hit in the interim.

One key scene in the film that captured audiences featured John Turturro's incredible comedic performance as Jesus Quintana, a Latin bowling player who uh... well, twelve years old, dude.

Anyway, as we reported a few months back, John Turturro's been trying to get a spinoff based on the character off the ground. At long last, it looks like it's finally happening as the first official release and synopsis have been released.

Going Places is based on a French film called Les Valseuses and "follows a trio of misfits whose irreverent, sexually charged dynamic evolves into a love story as their spontaneous and flippant attitude backfires time and again. When they make enemies with a gun-toting hairdresser, their journey becomes one of constant escape."

Right so.

The film, which has no release set as of the moment, also stars Audrey Tautou, Susan Sarandon and Bobby Cannavale, is expected to head for a mid 2017 release once a distribution deal is set up.
