She stole our hearts in her Oscar-winning role in Room. Now the world can’t wait to see the 26 year old actress take on the iconic role of Captain Marvel.

The film will be Marvel’s first female-led superhero flick (it’s about time!) and Brie shared this pic on Instagram to show her research for the role:

Curled up under a blanket on the sofa, armed with a Captain Marvel graphic novel (‘Vol 1: Higher, Further, Faster, More’, in case you were wondering), the actress channels her inner hero by wearing a Captain Marvel jacket as she reads. She jokingly captioned the pic: ‘LARSON INDUSTRIES R&D DEPT.’

It seems to be the latest thang to do – we all remember Benedict Cumberbatch dressing up as Doctor Strange to buy the hero's own comics.

There’s something just too delightful in moments like these.

The film is pencilled in for release in March 2019.
