Peep Show won't be coming to a cinema near you. Sob.

The Inbetweeners did it, The Brady Bunch did it, hell, even Spongebob Squarepants made the transition from the box to the big screen! Sadly, David Mitchell says Peep Show won’t be taking that big leap any time soon.

"We've always discussed it but we feel doing a film would mean the end of the TV series," he told Shortlist. "I think if (Peep Show's creators) Sam (Bain) and Jesse (Armstrong) decided to stop (doing the show), we might discuss a film as a last hurrah. But we've always felt we should keep the series going as long as possible."

And he certainly doesn't think there'd be any point following Mark and Jeremy on holiday ala The Inbetweeners Movie. "I don't think Mark and Jeremy would choose to go on holiday together." Sigh.
