Academy Award nominated director Denis Villeneuve jumped right into the deep end with his first English language film, filling it with recognizable faces and an uncomfortable, gut-wrenching story involving child abduction. We got to sit down with the talented director and ask him about his worries of following up an Oscar contender, his working relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal, what it was like collaborating with cinematography genius Roger Deakins, and the fears of making a movie that may be too dark to appeal to a mass audience, among other things.
