It looks like two supporting characters of the Marvel cinematic are coming back to the franchise.

Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, and Maria Hill, played by Cobie Smulders, have been spotted on the set of an unconfirmed Marvel movie. This will mark Jackson’s eighth outing as the founder of The Avengers while Maria Hill has featured in three movies of the MCU as well as TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

It also marks the first time the characters will be on screen together since 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, given that only Smulders is confirmed for Avengers 3, aka Avengers: Civil War.

Just Jared posted the pics, which can be viewed below, but whether they are from Avengers 4 or Captain Marvel remains up in the air. While filming for Avengers 4 wrapped earlier this month, Captain Marvel hasn’t officially started shooting yet.

There’s also the question of chronology, with Captain Marvel being set in the 90s, but then again, there’s the possibility that not all of the film will be set in that period or that time travelling could feature. Moreover, Jackson has previously stated that he won’t be appearing in Avengers 3 or 4.
