The star of everyone’s favourite bad movie, The Room (and topper of our list of 10 Movies So Bad They're Good Movies You Need To See Before You Die), is coming to Dublin for the Irish premiere of his new movie Best F(r)iends.

Like The Room, he shares the screen with Tommy Wiseau in his latest.

Greg Sestero, who wrote the bestseller The Disaster Artist, the inspiration for last year’s award-winning movie starring James Franco, also wrote the screenplay for the new movie.

Unlike The Room, Best F(r)iends is not directed by Wiseau – rather, it’s Justin MacGregor at the helm.

Sestero, who will be at the Light House Cinema on Saturday May 5th for two screenings of the new film, which are followed by a Q&A hosted by Derek O’Connor, said: “8 years ago, Dublin was the very first place I travelled to outside of the U.S to meet fans of The Room. It quickly became my second home. I’m excited to show them our new film Best Friends and celebrate the 15 year anniversary of The Room.”

The tagline of Best F(r)iends couldn’t get fans of The Room more psyched as it reads: “After 15 years, Tommy and Greg are finally back on-screen together, like you’ve never seen before…”

The plot summary reads: “Based on a series of true-to-life anecdotes sourced from Greg and Tommy's two decades of shared experiences, BEST F(R)IENDS is a unique two-volume cinematic saga that interweaves mystery, intrigue, and more than a few dark laughs into the long-awaited reunion of the THE ROOM's cult icons. Step into this surrealist tale and learn a lesson about friendship and loyalty.”
