Let's qualify that somewhat, because nuance is often lost in the headline.

There is no hard, factual evidence that Justice League will run for three hours. Not only that, director Zack Snyder has publicly stated that he has not yet completed his edit of the film and that the information where this story originated from is false. How it all came about is, as you'd expect, from a dodgy source.

Justice League's iMDB page was updated with information the other day that the film would have a run-time of 170 minutes - which is ten minutes short of three hours, incidentally. For those that may not be aware, pretty much anyone can edit and add information to a film page on iMDB and it's led to some unverified rumours suddenly taking on a new life as fact in the past.

Here, however, this can be squarely and firmly debunked as false. Now, let's qualify this even further. There is absolutely every possibility that Justice League could end up being three hours long. Given the fact that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's Ultimate Edition ran for a similar length, the same could be thought here. Man Of Steel, as well, had a lengthy runtime and so to did Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War.

The point is that a long running time such as this is very much par for the course for major studio tentpoles of this kind. However, it looks like there's no definitive word as of yet on the running time and there won't be any time soon.
