NEW TRAILER: Only a Jaeger will do in the Pacifc Rim

He may have turned down Star Wars Episode VII but Guillermo Del Toro certainly won't be living the quite life this year, what with his great big Sci-Fi blockbuster Pacific Rim on the way.

A second trailer for the movie dropped today and it gives us a closer look at Idris Elba's Lieutenant-Commander Stacker Pentecost, the commanding officer who heads up the defence forces in the fight against some rather large monsters called Kaiju. As you do. Charlie Hunnam tells us, in his rather dulcet tones, that these man eating monstrosities caught everyone off guard by popping up from the ocean. His Raleigh Beckett takes suiting up to a whole new level, donning (as opposed to downing) a a great big Jaeger. That's a Kaiju sized mechanical soldier to you and I.

Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Robert Kazinski, Max Martini and Ron Perlman co-star in the film which is due for release on July 12th.
