'Empire' alum Mike Moh has been cast as Bruce Lee in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming period-set piece, 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood'.

The real-life Bruce Lee was a friend of Sharon Tate - who'll be played by Margot Robbie - and trained her in martial arts for a movie, and was also friendly with Roman Polanski. In fact, Lee attended the funeral of Sharon Tate and was later investigated for the brutal murders after a distraught Polanski believed that one of the murderers involved was someone close to them.

Moh is best known for his role as Steve Cho in 'Empire' and a stint on the short-lived Marvel series 'Inhumans' where he played Triton. Moh also played Ryu in the live-action web series based on 'Street Fighter', and performed stunts for HBO's 'True Blood' at one point.

Tarantino has, of course, been a huge fan of Bruce Lee and his influence can be seen most pointedly in 'Kill Bill Vol.2' where Uma Thurman famously donned Lee's yellow-and-black jumpsuit from 'Game Of Death'.

'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood' arrives in Irish cinemas on July 26th, 2019.
