With Fast and Furious 8 getting its digital release yesterday, Michelle Rodriguez took to Instagram to plug it.....and also get something off her chest.

The eight installment of the Universal franchise took in $1.24b at the worldwide box office but as far as Rodriguez is concerned there are still some improvements that the franchise can make.

“show some love to the women of the franchise on the next one." she wrote.  "Or I just might have to say goodbye to a loved franchise.”

Rodriguez has been with the franchise since the beginning, and has appeared in five of the eight installments to date. The beginning of the franchise focused on Vin Diesel and Paul Walker's characters but the male cast has since expanded with the likes of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Kurt Russell, Jason Statham and Scott Eastwood all joining the cast. Fast and Furious 8 did introduce Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren to the franchise though.

Universal have plans for two more installments in the franchise which Rodriguez has most likely already signed deals to appear in so it will be interesting to see if she follows through on her promise should the Fast producers fail to take this on board.
