After initially passing on the chance to play the villain in the next solo outing for Spider-Man, Variety are reporting that Michael Keaton is back at the negotiating table.

It looked like Keaton playing the villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming was a done deal but then the actor withdrew himself from negotiations over money issues. Apparently the issue was as a result of Marvel signing up Robert Downey Jr. to appear in the movie as well and it looked like they weren't going to be able to afford both talents.

However now that Downey Jr. is locked into the role, Marvel have decided to try again to convince Keaton to sign on. Which character Keaton would play is yet to be revealed but given his age profile most would assume he'd fit nicely into the role of The Vulture.

Only time will tell if both parties can come to an agreement. Here's hoping they can as Keaton would be a superb addition to the MCU cast.
