It's not due in cinemas until in 2018, with the concluding part dropping in 2019, but Avengers: Infinity War is already being touted by Marvel chiefs Kevin Feige and Jeremy Latcham as a game-changer for the series.

Speaking at a recent event to promote the Blu-Ray release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, the two Marvel honchos dropped a few clues about how the third (and fourth) Avengers movie is going to shake out and what the roster will be. Latcham, in particular, spoke about how the comics changed the lineup of The Avengers every so often and how, if the movies are to be a reflection, the same has to happen here.

While he was keen to stress that it wasn't the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, certain aspects of it will be finishing. "I think that it is the end of part of it, for sure. We’re still trying to sort out that point.”

Most likely the sorting out, as Latcham puts it, is finishing out the contracts of the current Avengers. Downey Jr., as we know, is currently on HUGE money that undoubtedly will have an affect on the viability of having him in future films. Hemsworth, as well, is likely to going to ask for big money if he's to sign for another few. When we interview Jeremy Renner during the press junket for Age of Ultron, he intimated that he's signed for a few more films so that's him safe for a few more films.

It was initially thought that Age of Ultron would see an end to well-known characters like Iron Man, or possibly even Captain America, however the announcement that the cast had signed on for two more films scotched all of that. However, with Infinity War two years away and no sign of Downey Jr. et al signing an extension, Infinity War could very well mean the end of Iron Man.

Until the eventual reboot a few years later.

So what do you think? Is it time for a change in the Avengers roster? Or should it stay on as it is? Let us know in the comments!
