Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson may have starred in the likes of Harry Potter and About a Boy, but it would seem another member of the pop band now has their eyes on a career in acting as well.

The Aladdin remake will be directed by Guy Ritchie (who recently feel exceedingly short of box office success for his latest flick King Arthur) with Will Smith reportedly in talks to play the Genie.

Now Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall is said to be in talks to play Princess Jasmine in the live-action remake of Disney’s 1992 beloved animation.

A source told the Sun, "Jasmine is Jade’s perfect role, so she’s delighted to have got this far in the process. The talks have been going on for some time now. And the longer they go on, the better her chances are looking.

"All of the girls have their fingers crossed for her, as they always support each other. But they also know that it would be a huge commitment."

The filming of the movie could disrupt plans for Little Mix’s future, and while talks have been “emotional”, Thirlwall’s fellow band members are reportedly still determined to support her.

The source continued: “If Jade does get the call, there will be some serious celebrating in the Little Mix camp. But they will also have some big decisions to make.”
