Lenny Kravitz as Marvin Gaye? A young Sherlock Holmes?

Hollwood is abuzz with casting news this week and there's a few famous names and faces flying about. First up is Lenny Kravitz. We saw him on screen as Cinna in The Hunger Games last year and now's he's tipped for a bitta sexual healing. No, he's not making a blue movie, the London Evening Standard says Julien Temple has named Kravitz as his first choice to portray Marvin Gaye in an upcoming biopic. If the rumours are true, we wonder how long it will take Lenny to say let's get it on?

Speaking of men that know how to speak to the ladies, Benedict Cumberbatch is tipped to play Julian Assange in Bill Condon's movie about the Wikileaks founder. But that's not all, Laura Linney is now said to be in talks to join the gang in an unspecified role while James McAvoy is being linked to the role of Daniel Domscheit-Berg (we're not even going to try to pronounce that), who wrote Inside WikiLeaks: My Time with Julian Assange at the World's Most Dangerous Website. We're hearing that the script is partially based on his book.

And if we're going to talk Cumberbatch then we must mention Sherlock, or rather Young Sherlock Holmes to be precise. The Wrap says Paramount Pictures is in talks to remake the 1985 original which followed teenage versions of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, who met while at boarding school together and stumbled upon a series of murders. With shoes like Robert Downey Jr and Benedict Cumberbatch's to fill, the next Sherlock will have to do a lot more than just solve a few mysteries.
