Kevin Costner for Jack Ryan flick and French drama
Kevin Costner never really went anywhere, working consistently over the years, but he seems to be bagging more high profile stuff as of late.
Costner just headlined the record breaking History Channel series, Hatfields and McCoys, which was a ratings smash and just picked up a staggering 22 Emmy nominations. The all American actor seems to be at his most bankable well playing all American, which is probably why he was cast as Superman's (earth) Da in The Man of Steel. He's now apparently circling two roles, or considering, says Deadline.com. First up is what's described as the "co-lead" in Kenneth Branagh's Jack Ryan flick with Chris Pine; second is the part of a retired assassin in a low budget French drama produced by Luc Besson and helmed by McG (Charlie's Angels, This Means War). He has committed to neither but both are reportedly on the table for him.
He was due to appear in Django Unchained but pulled out for undisclosed reasons - thought to be scheduling.
