The first trailer for Hercules, starring everyone’s favourite wrestler turned superstar, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, premieres tomorrow, but the man has just tweeted some new images from the production showing just how huge he got for filming the epic.

Based on the graphic novel, Hercules: The Thracian Wars, the film opens in The US on July 25th and here soon after. Johnson recently spewed how much of a passion project it was to USA Today. Talking about a moment of clarity he had during filming “When Hercules breaks through the chains and becomes the demi-god he was born to be," says Johnson. "I was actually yelling with all the power I could muster, 'I am Hercules!' I gave it my all and made myself pass out every time we did it. But I honestly felt in that moment that I was born to play this role."

Judging by his mammoth 6’5 frame, that’s a tough one to argue with. While Johnson apparently got up at 3.45am every single morning to train before spending over four and a half hours in the make-up chair for the role.

Brett Ratner directs the action adventure epic - looking forward to the trailer tomorrow.
