Ryan Reynolds has clearly been giving Josh Brolin lessons in social media and keeping the fans engaged in the run-up to the first day of shooting on 'Deadpool 2' and now that the day has come, we're one step closer to finally seeing Brolin do his best Cable.

Brolin has been keeping fans up to date on his transformation via Instagram, with his body the first thing to get a Marvel makeover as he continues on his path to becoming the much-loved comic book character, swiftly followed by a mop chop that's more fitted to the time-traveling mutant super assassin.

And yesterday, Brolin graced us with a photo from the prosthetics chair with half of his face covered as a mold is taken, presumably to give him Cable's iconic cybernetic eye and face scars.

Brolin accompanied the post with the caption: "Insanity on the brink. Face is morphing into something machine, fierce, hair sliced, arm machined, bulged. Where is Deadpool?!? Looking. Looking. All I got are these two...molding me, prodding, turning me into something hard."

'Deadpool 2' is set for releases on June 1st, 2018.
