Jones Leaves McConaughey Project
24 November 2009
Tommy Lee Jones has dropped out of the film version of the Michael Connelly novel The Lincoln Lawyer, according to Variety.
The notoriously tempestuous Jones left the project over creative differences over the script. He was set to both direct and co-star in the film which was due to star Matthew McConaughey, but his departure now leaves the production lifeless - unless producers can either persuade him to come back, or get someone else in late.
Jones, who made his directorial debut with the brilliant The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, will next be seen in The Company Men, alongside Ben Affleck and Kevin Costner.
