James Franco and Jonah Hill will co-star in the Brad Pitt produced film, True Story, which is (somewhat ironically), based on a true story.

According to Darkhorizons.com, via Deadline, the interesting sounding production centres on a New York Times journalist (to be played by Hill) who had his identity stolen by a man who was on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted List (Franco). Around the same time Hill's character gets fired for falsifying information; the kicker happens when Franco's possible killer is caught in Mexico, and says the only journalist he'll speak to is the guy whose identity he nicked. The film is based on the memoirs of Michael Finkel - Hill's character.

Being how badly comedy has been going for Hill lately (The Sitter was epically shite), the move to straighter fare might result in more career longevity. No director is attached as of yet.
