There's no end of sequel talk in Tinseltown this week, what with Jurassic Park 4 finally getting the go ahead, and now Disney have announced their plans for two of their own film follow ups.

Pirates of the Carribean 5 (yeah, we're not so sure about that either) will see Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow sailing back into our cinemas on July 10, 2015. Details of the project are pretty scant at the moment but we presume it will pick up somewhere near where On Stranger Tides left off. Personally, I'd hope this next one sees the return of Sam Claflin and that mermaid. Now there's a fishtail worth telling. Badum chhh.

There'll also be a follow up to the phenomenally successful The Muppets. Tina Fey, Modern Family star Ty Burrell and Ricky Gervais are all involved with The Muppets 2, due in theatres on March 21st 2014. And finally, the hotly anticipated retelling of the tale of Sleeping Beauty's arch nemesis, Maleficent, has been pushed back even further. We'll have to wait until July 2, 2014 to see Angelina Jolie in all her malevolent glory. Sure y'never know, we might even grow to love the evil fairy.
