Joe Carnahan Talks Death Wish Film Intentions
01 February 2012
Joe Carnahan was announced a couple of days ago as the man who would be taking over a proposed reimaging of the Charles Brosnon cult classic, Death Wish. And he's now tweeting about where exactly he's at with the production.
He spewed on the social networking site, "Guys. I’m doing Death Wish. But this version is a re-imagining of the book and set in present day Los Angeles. The L.A. of Collateral… It’s on buses, cabs, metro trains. I want to show an unseen version of L.A. L.A. on foot. Prowling. Hunting. The vast emptiness of downtown… [Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn] did a phenomenal job shooting L.A. It took on a different dimension. That’s the key." Carnahan has worked with some big leading men - Ryan Reynolds, Bradley Cooper, Liam Neeson - so attention might initially turn to someone he's worked with before. And Neeson does the revenge thing pretty well in fairness...
Carnahan's latest film, The Grey, is currently sitting on top of the US box-office with some stellar reviews.

Has to be Neeson again ,they work well together and it fits right in with his Action Man persona of Late..Fingers Crossed.
