Jamie Foxx To Play The President In White House Down
Jamie Foxx is in talks to play the President of the United States of America in the action flick, White House Down. How topical; an African American president...
Roland Emmerich is directing the film and Channing Tatum is already set to star as a secret service agent tasked with keeping the president safe when shit goes down at the white house. The script, by Zodiac and The Amazing Spider-Man writer James Vanderbilt, was bought by Sony Pictures for a mammoth $3 million and pre-production then moved swiftly when Emmerich became attached. Tatum has a great relationship with Sony, having just headlined two huge hit movies for them - The Vow and 21 Jump Street.
Foxx will next be seen in Django Unchained around about Christmas time.

This i can't wait for, Roland Emmerich is a massive filmmaker, and providing he doesn't lock the president in an office for the entire second half of the movie, it could be amazing, and actually the first real action movie he's made without the use of sci-fi.

Although in fairness, 24 got there sooner, but still a great idea for a movie.
