It isn't even out yet, but JK Rowling's apparently taken to screenwriting like a duck to water.

The upcoming Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them will mark Rowling's first foray into the world of screenwriting and, by all accounts, it looks like it's going to be pretty impressive. Set in the early part of the twentieth century, it follows a young wizard in New York and will see him trying to track down a bunch of escaped beasts in the city.

The title comes from an in-world novel from Harry Potter, with the film introducing never-before-seen characters and places. David Yates, however, has said that there's nothing stopping Rowling or her creativity. "She’s done the first one. She’s written the second one. She’s got ideas for the third one," explained Yates in a recent interview.

Warner Bros. have said that they're up for making a trilogy out of Fantastic Beasts, but it's entirely possible that it could run and run. There's enough goodwill out there for Harry Potter, JK Rowling and the fact that Pottermore's been an unbridled success with fans, so why shouldn't they kick this on?

As we said, JK Rowling's got an endless fountain of imagination to work with, so this really could just be the beginning.
