Although Bridget Jones Baby didn't fare well in the US, the threequel did just fine in the Irish box-office.
The long-awaited follow-up to Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason comfortably topped this weekend's box-office with a take of €562,682. Meanwhile, Cork comedy hit The Young Offenders broke this year's opening weekend record for an Irish film with an impressive €202,205.
Sausage Party, meanwhile, dropped 59% and has fallen to fourth place after spending two weeks on top. Further down the list, The Infiltrator and Blair Witch both had average showings, with €45,224 and €46,292 respectively. Finding Dory continues to cling on, now totalling €3,353,586 during its eight-week run in cinemas. The only other long-standing survivor in the Irish Top 10 is (gulp) Nine Lives, which has spent five weeks there and has so far managed to score €421,825 from Irish audiences.
