Whether we like it or not, a fifth Indiana Jones is on its way.

Speaking at the Rakuten TV Empire Awards last night, just ahead of today's European premiere of Ready Player One, Steven Spielberg confirmed that the as-yet untitled fifth Indiana Jones film is happening and will begin filming in England from April 2019.

"It’s always worth the trip when I get to work with this deep bench of talent coming out of the UK. The actors, and the crew, the chippies, the sparks, the drivers — everybody who has helped me make my movies here, and will continue helping me make my movies here when I come back in April 2019 to make the fifth Indiana Jones movie right here," said Spielberg.

Raiders Of The Lost Ark filmed in Elstree Studios all the way back in 1980, so it's fitting that will likely be Harrison Ford's finally outing as Dr. Jones happen in England again. There's been no word yet on plot or whether or not someone will be replacing Ford as Dr. Jones, but for now, we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

The film is currently slated for a release date of July 10th, 2020.
