The scheduled release date for 'Indiana Jones 5' won't be met for 2020, probably because a screenwriter has only been locked in just now.

Variety is reporting that Jonathan Kasdan, co-screenwriter of 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' and son of Screenwriting Legend™ Lawrence Kasdan, is now set to write the fifth outing of Dr. Henry Jones, Jr. for the screen. Per Variety, filming was "supposed to begin in April of 2019 in the United Kingdom, but sources close to the production say that shooting will no longer start next spring and will have to be pushed back by months, if not a year," by which time Harrison Ford will be 78.

Spielberg, as you can imagine, has a pretty full dance card to begin with and will likely get started on the remake of 'West Side Story' while the script for 'Indiana Jones 5' is written, whilst Harrison Ford has 'The Secret Life Of Pets 2' on the way in 2019 - though that's only a voice role, obviously.

Variety's source say both of them - Ford and Spielberg - are still committed to making a fifth Indy, even everyone else is somewhat reluctant to go through 'Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' again.

Just look at this. Do we need this in our lives again? No. No, we don't.
